PhoneIt-iPad is a new iPad jailbreak tweak that lets you make & receive calls, and send & receive SMS from iPad 3G.
PhoneItiPad takes full advantage of the network connection on an iPad 3G and allows Calls and SMS right from your iPad 3G.
The tweak is finally available to in the Cydia Store for $19.99.
NOTES
- PhoneItiPad requires your iPad 1 to be Jailbroken on iOS 4.3.3. Jailbreak guides are linked at the bottom.
- iPad 2 Support will be added as soon as a jailbreak is out for it.
- PhoneIt-iPad lets you sen/receive calls and SMS only. it is not MMS ready yet. Hopefully it will with next updates.
- FaceTime is not guaranteed as it depends on your device/carrier/country. But it’s supported to work fine if you have no issues with the above.
- Before installing PhoneIt-iPad, you should remove iFacepad, SwirlySMS, and Multitasking Gestures hack.
To Install PhoneIt-iPad as follow steps:
Step 1 – Note Down your iPad 3G Serial number
On your iPad 3G, Go to Settings > General > About and note down your Serial number.
This serial number will later be used to setup PhoneItiPad.
Step 2 – Purchase PhoneItiPad
Purchase PhoneItiPad from here (for $19.99);
Provide your iPad 3G Serial Number when requested.
Step 3 – Install PhoneitiPad
Open Cydia => Manage => Sources => Edit => Add
Enter the following repo: http://apps.iphoneislam.com then => Add Source
Then go to Search tab and search for “PhoneItiPad” and install it.
Just reboot your device and run PhoneItiPad on your iPad 3G with Wifi connect to your device in order to activate it, Now you should be able to send/receive calls and SMS from your iPad 3G as shown in the original video by iPhoneIslam.
FAQ
Do I need a special SIM card?
No, just the regular phone SIM card. PS: Data SIM cards will not work as they are for internet use only. iPad that comes with SIM card inside it like from AT&T is a data SIM, hence you will need a regular one, You need activated SIM card with a phone service.

I installed PhoneIt-iPad from your Cydia repo but nothing happened. What should I do next?
You must first activate your copy by clicking on the ”Active Now” button on this website, Then run PhoneItiPad app on your device.
Do I need to pay again if I restore my device or reinstall it?
No, You just pay once for each device.
Will you support iOS 5 and iPad 2?
When iOS 5 comes out and becomes jailbroken, sure we will work to bring the app to it. None the less, we can’t guarantee that we will able to do so. Same thing for iPad 2 we just waiting for a jailbreak for it.
Can I send an MMS?
PhoneIt-iPad is not MMS ready yet. Hopefully it will with next updates.
Will I have FaceTime too?
We don’t guarantee it as it depends on your device/carrier/country. But it’s supported to work fine if you have no issues with the above.
Can I use bluetooth headset for phone calls?
Unfortunately, there is no way to use bluetooth headset with voice calls, as the iPad 1 doesn’t support such feature.
Is there any other Cydia hack that could conflict with your hack?
Yes, before installing PhoneIt-iPad, you should remove iFacepad, SwirlySMS, and Multitasking Gestures hack.
