This can’t be much of a surprise—what else would they pick? It’s only been around for a few months, but the iPad has already beaten out older devices for a pair of awards.
Apple swept this year’s T3 Gadget Awards 2010, taking five of the top prizes, dubbed “gongs.” The awards were handed out Sunday night in London, and the iPad was chosen Gadget of the Year as well as Innovation of the Year. Apple took three more prizes, with iPhone 4 winning Commuter Gadget, MacBook Pro taking Best Computer and Apple Store chosen Best Retailer. More than 750,000 readers of T3 magazine voted in 19 categories.
